Our Loan Originators are full time and handle your purchase or refinance while working with title companies, realtors, appraisers and all others vested in your transaction.

Obsidian Financial is a full eagle lender that does all its processing, underwriting and closing in house. With over 25 years’ experience, we can perform all functions and close your loan within 10 days. A lot of loan officers in the industry are simply brokers. As a broker, they will send your loan to a lender, join a long line of other brokers, wait on an approval, get condition after condition and take over 30 to 45 days to close. Obsidian Financial is the lender so there is no assembly line that takes an entirety to close.

If you do elect to go with a company that advertises competitive rates, please make sure they are a full service lender that is HUD approved. Otherwise in their estimation, you are just another number.

WHEN OTHER BROKERS SAY NO, Obsidian Financial CAN SAY YES! As a fully staffed lender, we have the discretion to underwrite all of our loans, and the borrower sees the positive aspects of the transaction from start to finish. When using a broker, AKA the assembly line, the underwriting is sent to the lender and a lot of the lenders think in a very small box.

Obsidian Financial is the underwriter and can approve loans that don’t always fit in a box. Because brokers don’t have the financial net worth, brokers are limited to the products that are available to direct lenders.
